Extend the duration of FYP


The FYP moment is a dream for the majority of affiliates. When our content is FYP, it would be a shame if we just waste it.

It may seem strange to see people being more relaxed during FYP, but believe me, many TikTok creators do this.
They are lulled by the income that suddenly increases significantly, the notifications that keep coming in, and the abundance of viewers.

Even though FYP has its time, our videos don't always explode. Maybe there are some that last up to 7 days, like this video.
But after that? The video will sink as usual.

So that the duration of our FYP videos can be longer, there are several ways we can try, but of course this is just an attempt, not an absolute method.

1. Reply to comments with video

When your yellow basket video is FYP and starts getting lots of comments, this is the right time to reply to comments with a video.

Why is it important? Because each reply video will attract viewers back to the original video. The more often people interact and watch back and forth, the longer the TikTok algorithm considers your video worthy of remaining on FYP.

Imagine you reply to a comment about one of the products in the yellow basket with a new video. Viewers who haven't had time to click or see product details become curious and return to the main video. The effect? Engagement goes up, FYP continues.

The bottom line: as long as you actively respond to comments with videos, you are giving "new breath" to content that is already FYP. And in the world of TikTok, engagement is what fuels a video's longevity.


2. Pin Videos on Profile

If your yellow basket video is already FYP and starting to get popular, pin the video on your profile as soon as possible.

Why? Because when the video starts to go viral, many new viewers will be curious and click on your profile. If the FYP video is immediately visible at the top, it will be easier for them to find it, watch it again, give it a like, or even comment.

Pinning also keeps your videos relevant, even if TikTok starts pushing other new videos. It's a kind of “front door parking” — everyone who passes by immediately looks at it.

3. Advertise Video (Optional)

This is optional, and important to note: Advertising a video is not a guarantee that it will go viral further. But, it can be an added boost to keep videos relevant longer and reach new audiences who haven't seen them yet.

Even with a small budget, it's enough. You can direct the goal to views, profile visits, or even Purchase Ads.

Use this as an auxiliary strategy, not your only hope. The main focus remains on content and interaction, but promotion can be "reserve fuel" when performance starts to slow down.
